For the past 14 seasons Susan has spent most of her time performing as an extra player with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, including touring with them through the US and Canada. She also spends much time performing with the Boston Pops Orchestra and is on many Boston Symphony and Boston Pops recordings. Susan recently became the principal double bassist of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the first female ever to do so, and has been a featured soloist with them.

The fascinating possibilities of making music with the double bass, also as a soloist, are carried into concert halls by this native of Mainz with her typical ease and virtuosity. Christine Lanusse, was born into a family of musicians and has always been surrounded by different kinds of music, especially music from South/Central America. In addition to the classics of Villa Lobos, she played her favorites songs from the radio and started to learn how to play the bass guitar. Being a person who prefers to be in the background, Christine chose the bass guitar because she "loves how it brings so much to the music without having to be in front stage."
A graduate of Berlin Philharmonic’s Karajan Academy, Phoebe Russell has performed in more than 20 countries across the globe with some of the world’s leading orchestras. The last few years have seen her perform with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester, the Netherlands Philharmonic and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, among others.
